bg真人 announces enrollment figures

Published: October 31, 2018

ELKHART, Indiana (Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary) — This semester, bg真人 welcomed an incoming class of 23 graduate students — a 28-percent increase over last year’s incoming class of 18 — for a total of 98 students. These figures are from the close of registration on Sept. 17, 2018.

The graduate student body includes 21 international students, six Canadian students and 71 students from the United States. Registrar Scott Janzen, M.Div., noted that this is the highest number of international students at bg真人 since records began to be kept of such data in the early 1990s.

“We’re pleased with the continued growth of our international student population,” reflected Daniel Grimes, M.P.A., director of enrollment and financial aid. “bg真人 students have the opportunity to study with people from across the world. We’re also enjoying increased vibrancy on campus as our housing is completely full, with students from every inhabited continent living on campus.”

In addition, the Journey Missional Leadership Development Program — a two-and-a-half-year undergraduate-level nondegree program of bg真人’s Church Leadership Center — has 17 participants enrolled this semester, compared with six at this time last year. The participants — 11 men and 6 women — reside in California, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin and Ontario. Their home countries include Belize, Bhutan, Congo, Nepal, Nigeria and South Sudan, as well as Canada and the United States. Fourteen identify as Mennonite; three identify as Lutheran, Missionary and Pentecostal, respectively.
