Anabaptist History and Theology HTE520 / B
Instructor: Jamie Pitts, PhD
This course explores the emergence and early development of Anabaptist movements in 16th-century Europe in light of their theological, historical, and sociopolitical contexts. In addition to surveying the major stories and theological works of the period, the course examines competing 20th- and 21st-century options for understanding “Anabaptism” and challenges students to make connections between the 16th century and their own faith practice.
