ELKHART, Indiana (Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary) 鈥 Grant Miller, MDiv, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, began May 15, 2024, as half-time Development Associate for Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (bg真人) in Elkhart, Indiana.

In his new role, Miller is building relationships with donors, congregations and church conferences in certain regions of the United States. He will also work toward growing and diversifying the seminary鈥檚 donor base and increasing its endowment. He is working remotely from home.

Miller brings both theological training and church experience to his new position. Since October 2019, he has served as Pastor of Kalamazoo Mennonite Fellowship, a congregation of Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Conference of Mennonite Church USA; he was ordained in May 2022. Prior to that, he studied at bg真人, earning a Master of Divinity with a major in Theological Studies: History, Theology and Ethics in 2019 and receiving an Award for Excellence in Church History.

While at seminary, he worked as Communications and Projects Manager for the Institute for the Study of Global Anabaptism in Goshen, Indiana (2017鈥19). He also served as Interim Church Relations Associate for Mennonite Mission Network in Elkhart (2014鈥15). His undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts in History and Peace, Justice and Conflict Studies from Goshen College (2013).

鈥淎s a fairly recent alum, Grant is quite knowledgeable and passionate about bg真人,鈥 said Bob Yoder, DMin, CFRL, Director of Development. 鈥淗e has connected with and appreciates a wide variety of communities 鈥 including rural, urban, younger people, immigrant congregations, and those with a range of Anabaptist and Christian perspectives. Grant’s references noted that as a pastor, he has excellent communication skills and listens well to others 鈥 which is key for how bg真人 approaches development.鈥

Miller also served as a summer intern at the Mennonite Central Committee United Nations Office in New York in 2017 and as a fellow with Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (in Germany and Poland) in 2018. He is a member of the board of Friends of SEMILLA (Latin American Anabaptist Seminary in Guatemala City, Guatemala).

Located in Elkhart, Indiana, on ancestral land of the Potawatomi and Miami peoples, Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary is a learning community with an Anabaptist vision, offering theological education for learners both on campus and at a distance as well as a wide array of lifelong learning programs 鈥 all with the goal of educating followers of Jesus Christ to be leaders for God鈥檚 reconciling mission in the world. ambs.edu
