Seminary commencement to be held April 27

ELKHART, Indiana (Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary) 鈥� Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (bg真人)聽will hold its 2024 Commencement Service on Saturday, April 27, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. EDT in the Chapel of the Sermon on the Mount on the bg真人 campus in Elkhart, Indiana. The public is invited to attend in person or via livestream on bg真人’s YouTube channel at ambs.edu/graduation.听
The service will honor 22 candidates for graduation who are completing degrees and certificates. Six will earn a Master of Divinity; six will earn a Master of Arts: Theology and Global Anabaptism; four will earn a Master of Arts in Christian Formation; and one will earn a Master of Arts: Theology and Peace Studies. Four students will receive a Graduate Certificate in Theological Studies, and one student will receive a Graduate Certificate in Spiritual Direction.
Nelson Okanya, DIS, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, will bring the commencement address. He is President of World Serving Leaders, the nonprofit division of the in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Chair of the , a 74-member global network facilitated by Mennonite World Conference. Previously, he served as a pastor and as President of Eastern Mennonite Missions. A trained executive and leadership coach, Okanya holds a Master of Divinity from Eastern Mennonite Seminary in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and a Doctorate in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.
In addition to the April 27 Commencement Service, livestream viewing via bg真人’s YouTube channel is available for a Commissioning Service that will include a blessing for each graduate on Friday, April 26, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. EDT, also at ambs.edu/graduation.
