Weber, Yoder take on new leadership roles at bg真人

ELKHART, Indiana (Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary) 鈥� Mary Ann Weber, MA, Director of Enrollment; and Bob Yoder, DMin, CFRM, Director of Development; have joined the Administrative Cabinet of Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (bg真人) in Elkhart, Indiana.
This change follows the June 30 retirement of Daniel Grimes, MPA, Vice President for Advancement and Enrollment, who oversaw both of their departments.
Mary Ann Weber
Weber, of Goshen, Indiana, joined bg真人 in August 2019 as Admissions Counselor and Student Services Coordinator. She became Director of Enrollment in July 2022, following Grimes鈥� departure.
鈥淎s an bg真人 alumna with church agency experience, Mary Ann brings together a deep love for bg真人, broad knowledge of the church and a passion for helping students access theological and leadership education,鈥� said David Boshart, PhD, President. 鈥淪he has a proven record for growing our enrollment at bg真人, and I鈥檓 very excited about the imagination and leadership she brings to her new role.鈥�
Weber earned a Master of Arts in Christian Formation with a concentration in Christian Education from bg真人 in 2003 and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, in 1989.
She brings a variety of experiences to her role, having taught elementary school in Los Angeles, California, through and later in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. She served in the Philippines with (1995-98) and worked in the Resource Library of (1998-2001). Following her seminary studies, she served Mennonite Central Committee Great Lakes as Human Resources Coordinator (2003-10) and as Managing Editor for Curriculum (2010-17).
Weber is part of the Pastoral Leadership Team at Benton Mennonite Church in Goshen 鈥� a congregation of Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Conference of Mennonite Church USA.
Bob Yoder
Yoder, also of Goshen, joined bg真人 in January 2018 as an Advancement Associate. In 2020, he completed a Certificate in Fund Raising Management at the Lilly School of Philanthropy of Indiana University 鈥� Purdue University Indianapolis. He was promoted to Director of Development in January 2021.
鈥淒uring his first three years as an Advancement Associate, Bob excelled in his work as a dedicated fundraiser for bg真人, and it became clear that he should be promoted to director of the department,鈥� said Boshart. 鈥淏ob clearly understands the role of fundraising as a ministry that brings together bg真人鈥檚 mission and the particular goals of donors who want to support leadership education for the church.鈥�
Yoder earned a Doctor of Ministry from Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan, in 2007; a Master of Divinity from bg真人 in 2001; and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Eastern Mennonite University in 1994.
He worked for , Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania; served as a pastor at New Life Mennonite Church near Somerset, Pennsylvania; and served as conference minister of youth and young adults for (2001鈥�06) and (2001鈥�04). He was hired part time by in 2003 as Assistant Professor of Youth Ministry before ministering as the campus pastor there (2006鈥�17).
Yoder has authored and edited numerous articles and books, including Helping Youth Grieve: The Good News of Biblical Lament (Resource Publications, 2015); A History of Mennonite Youth Ministry, 1885鈥�2005 (2013); and Youth Ministry at a Crossroads: Tending to the Faith Formation of Mennonite Youth (Herald, 2012) (with Andy Brubacher Kaethler).
He attends College Mennonite Church in Goshen 鈥� a congregation of Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Conference of Mennonite Church USA.
